Delete your Uintah Reach account
You can permanently delete your Uintah Reach account at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone — there is no grace period and no way to recover the account afterwards.
Delete from the app
This is the fastest way, and it removes everything straight away.
- Open Uintah Reach and make sure you're signed in.
- Tap your profile photo in the top right.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read the consequences and confirm that you understand them.
- We email a six-digit code to the address on your account. Enter it to confirm. Without a valid code nothing is deleted.
Your account and the data listed below are removed as soon as the code is accepted.
Delete by email
If you can't get into the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We use the sending address to confirm the request is genuine, so a request from any other address can't be actioned. We action these within 30 days, usually within a couple of business days.
What is deleted
Permanently, at the moment you confirm:
- Your account — name, email address, and profile photo.
- Everything you posted: classifieds, events, jobs, and food trucks, with their photos.
- Messages you sent. A one-to-one conversation is removed once no participants remain.
- Your saved posts, event RSVPs, and notification preferences.
- Push notification tokens, so your devices stop receiving notifications.
- Sign-in tokens, so every signed-in device is signed out.
What is kept, and why
Moderation reports you filed about other people's content
This includes the email address recorded on the report. Why: reports are evidence in decisions about other people's accounts. Erasing the reporter would make a completed moderation decision impossible to review or appeal, and would let abuse reports be withdrawn by deleting an account. How long: kept indefinitely, with your name unlinked from the report.
Messages other people sent in a conversation you took part in
Why: they belong to the other participant's copy of that conversation, not to your account. How long: kept in their account, subject to their own deletion request.
Server and error logs
These may contain a technical record of requests. Why: security, abuse investigation, and diagnosing faults. How long: automatically discarded on a rolling short-term basis, and never used to rebuild a deleted account.
Records we're required by law to retain
Why: legal obligation. How long: only as long as the law requires.
If you would rather not leave a report on file under your email address, contact us before deleting your account and we'll talk through the options.
